Andrés is a researcher in training at EvoCo: Human Behaviour and Evolution Lab, Faculty of Psychology at Universidad El Bosque in Bogotá, Colombia.

His research interests include hormonal and microbiota effects on human behavior. He worked on microbiota during his stay at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, under the supervision of Dr. Isaac González-Santoyo, and has worked in neuroscience under the supervision of Dr. Milena Vásquez-Amézquita, as well as in molecular biology, under the supervision of Juan Pablo Hernandez.
