MetaCiencia
MetaCiencia (metascience) is a student research incubator at Universidad El Bosque (Bogotá, Colombia), formally registered in 2026 and affiliated with the research group CODEC: Cognitive and Behavioural Sciences. It studies science from within: how scientific knowledge is produced, how reliable it is, and how to make it more open, transparent, and reproducible.
Activities and meetings are conducted in Spanish.
Research lines
The incubator works around three main areas:
Reproducibility and scientific transparency — pre-registration, registered reports, reproducible analyses, open data and code.
Open science practices — non-commercial open access, free software (R, Python, Quarto), and rigorous documentation of scientific processes.
Metascience education and scientific literacy — critical training from undergraduate level and production of accessible outreach materials.
