CODEC: Cognitive and Behavioural Sciences


CODEC is a research group at Universidad El Bosque (Bogotá, Colombia), founded in 2002 and classified in category A1 by Minciencias, the highest ranking awarded to research groups in Colombia. I have led it since 2016.

We study human cognition and behaviour from evolutionary, neuroscientific, and neuropsychological perspectives, with an emphasis on methodological rigour and open science.

CODEC brings together several labs and student research incubators:

  • LabPsiExp — Experimental Psychology Lab (dir. Fidel Mauricio Bonilla).

  • NeuroGroup — incubator on the neuropsychology of ageing (dir. Ana María Salazar).
