Valentina is a clinical psychologist, research assistant, and university lecturer at the Faculty of Psychology at Universidad El Bosque, in Bogotá, Colombia. She has specialised in clinical psychology and personal self-efficacy, with research experience focused on human sexuality, attentional biases, and affective disorders.

During her involvement with EvoCo: Human Behaviour and Evolution Lab,, she has contributed to projects on visual attention and erotic content, emotional cognition, perceptible signs of mental health, and science communication. Her undergraduate dissertation, which explored the relationship between sexual thoughts and attentional patterns, was awarded with distinction.
